Initially when I would create these pieces for my family and friends and gift it to them, it would bring me so much joy and happiness, which was also a leading factor in encouraging me to create and build the brand Pessoa. There was always something so special about gifting a pessoa filled with so much love, energy and passion to someone dear to my heart, that I wanted to share this experience with everyone.
Previously whilst at a workshop, another attendee said, “Craft is long, life is short”, which made me laugh as I completely resonated to this, as I too become so absorbed and lost in the creative process. I have made a variety of products over the years, including mosaics, needlework, and screen-printing. However, I have based the Pessoa brand on
leather goods and bags in particular, as I love the freedom it gives me to experiment with colours, fabrics, textures and patterns.
